KidStage, Houston’s new after-school youth Drama Group, is celebrating its ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY and is offering up a FUN SUMMER SCHEDULE with drama classes and theatre opportunities for kids of all ages. The KidStage mission is to bring the experience of drama and performance to as many young people as possible. A recreation as well as academic program, KidStage Kids will learn about teamwork, concentration, creativity, improvisation, reading, movement, voice and theatre terminology.
KidStage was founded in 1997, with the goal of providing K-12 grade students the opportunity to have their lives enriched through the performing arts. KidStage was formed specifically to help solve the growing problem of overcrowded schools, overworked teachers and tight school budgets. KidStage looks to fill the need of providing a robust performing arts based curriculum that some area schools currently cannot provide. The creators of KidStage have spent over 15 years developing solutions to enhance children’s lives while supporting education standards.
The program teaches self-expression, creativity and confidence through their participation in theatrical exercises.
