Learn about the latest technology available for small businesses at the Kingwood Chamber of Commerce TechFEST 2006 on Thurs., May 11 from 2-5 p.m. at the Nathaniel Center, 804 Russell Palmer Road, Kingwood. The event is free and open to the public. TechFEST will feature speakers and vendor booths showcasing hot technological trends such as Web site optimization and network security.
A sneak peek at the next version of Windows
One of the guest speakers for TechFEST will be Dwight Silverman and his topic will be "A sneak peek at the next version of Windows". Dwight is the Houston Chronicle's interactive journalism editor and computing columnist/blogger. He manages the reader and interactive content areas of the Web site, including staff and reader blogs and forums. He also writes a weekly column about personal computers for the print edition, and writes daily in his online TechBlog ). He's worked in a variety of positions at the Chronicle since he arrived in 1990, and in his nearly 30-year career has worked for newspapers in Beaumont and San Antonio.
