The Kingwood/Humble Area Aggie Moms club is pleased to announce that the world-famous Texas A&M Singing Cadets will be in the Kingwood community to present a special concert this spring.
The Singing Cadets is an all-male student organization from Texas A&M University and was first established in 1893. The choral group’s concerts consist of traditional school songs as well as religious, patriotic, Broadway, popular and novelty numbers.
This Emmy award-winning group has a crisp military style and the diverse selection of music ensures that everyone will have a good time at this event. The group often gets the opportunity to sing for many unique events and renowned individuals. Most recently, they traveled to Boston and Maine where they performed at Fenway Park, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum and for President George Bush’s 85th birthday celebration.
The local concert is scheduled for Sunday, March 7, 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Strawbridge United Methodist Church located at 5629 Kingwood Drive in Kingwood. General Admission tickets are available now for $10.00 each and can be purchased from Aggie Moms members or at the Keller Williams Realty office on West Lake Houston Parkway. This event will benefit the Singing Cadets and also the scholarship and philanthropy efforts of the Kingwood/Humble Aggie Moms group. This year the club’s goals are to award $10,000 or more in student awards, student scholarships for local students attending Texas A&M, and donations to various student organizations.
