Students entering kindergarten and first grade this year are invited to embark on an adventure through nature during Mercer Botanic Gardens’ A-B-Seeds Camp Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, July 16.
From touring the sensory garden to creating a seed head buddy and observing the colors of popcorn kernels, children will discover the pivotal role of seeds during this three-day camp packed with exciting crafts, hands-on activities and more!
Registration is now underway and each session is limited, so make a reservation today by calling 281-443-8731.
“My goal is to help children develop an appreciation of nature in a fun-filled environment,” said Mercer’s Education Director Jennifer Garrison. “Whether it’s a sensory garden safari or a craft, children will have plenty to keep them entertained, engaged and active.”
A suggested donation of $30 is requested to cover the cost of materials, which is due at the time of registration. Participants must be dropped off between 8:45 a.m. and 9 a.m. and picked up at noon each day.
