Precinct 4’s Mercer Botanic Gardens is preparing for one of the most anticipated horticultural events in the region, March Mart, which features more than 2,000 varieties of unique plants for beginners and experts alike. Hundreds of volunteers and more than 120 experts will offer advice and answer gardening questions.

Outfit yourself in green and head to the St. Patrick’s Day Dance hosted by Harris County Precinct 4's Senior Adult Program (SAP) Thursday, March 17 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center, located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway.

Expert and beginner geocachers alike have the opportunity to set off on a new, exciting adventure during the 2015 Precinct 4 GeoChallenge starting Saturday, March 7.

Connect with nature while learning about the environment during NatureFest at Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center on Saturday, March 7 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Ten years ago, the first Mardi Gras festival and parade was held in Kingwood's Town Center park.  The 11th Annual festival for 2015 will be held on Saturday, February 15th, from noon to 6 pm with the parade commencing at 2 pm.

Bring the beauty and diversity of Mercer Botanic Gardens to your yard by purchasing unique plants during Mercer’s annual March Mart Plant Sale Friday, March 20 from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturday, March 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Shake off the winter doldrums and join the Kingwood Park High School Resolution 5k Run/Walk on Saturday January 17th.  The run is sponsored by the K-Park Booster club and supports the Athletics Department.  Registrations are due January 15th.  Register online or download the registration form.

The Just About Kids Foundation is hosting the 4th Annual For the LOVE of Music benefit vocal competition and they want you to participate!  Tryouts are January 31, 2015 at Kingwood High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Jeff and Anne Barnhart, a performing duo know as Ivory&Gold®, will help ease the winter blues on Tuesday, Jan. 20, when the Lone Star College-Kingwood Music Department hosts a recital and improvisation workshop featuring piano, flute and vocal music.
