Thomas Markle Fine Jewelers has donated a Konstantino Pendant and Necklace valued at $920.00 for the Kingwood Women's Club 2009 Holiday Marketplace Raffle. Tom has been a yearly donor to the raffle since the beginning and his support is always appreciated.

The Humble Civic Center will echo with the sounds of friends and families enjoying food, beverages, music and more on October 15th, 2009 during the Tasting The Town event that will showcase area restaurants, caterers, and specialty vendor booths offering samples of their top menu items, plus beverages including beer, wine, margaritas and specialty coffees.

Expand your horizons with the May Community Center.

Several outings are planned over the next several months including the Houston Air Show.  Transportation is provided for adults 50 and over.

There is something planned for everyone with children's storytimes, theatre productions, and personal development and information seminars scheduled.

A wide variety of programs and activities are in the upcoming line up at the May Community Center. Whether you want to learn karate, play the piano, line dance or oil paint, instructional classes are available for free or a minimal cost.  

For those that are of a more social bent, the May Community Center facilitates a number of groups such as playgroups, 4-H, theatre groups and more.

As summer is winding down and the economy is still struggling along, it can be a challenge to find new fun and affordable things to do with the family.

The Kingwood Connection and Landry's Restaurants have partnered to offer a discounted special at the Houston Downtown Aquarium for Kingwood Connection readers.

Kingwood Connection Day at the Downtown Aquarium will be on Saturday, August 8th, from 10 am to 11 pm.  Present a copy of the flyer to receive an all day pass, normally $15.99, for only $5 per person . . . a 70% savings.

Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program presents the Opry in Humble Friday, August 14 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center, 8233 Will Clayton Parkway. Sponsored in part by Texas HealthSpring, this annual fundraiser event features the Hometown Opry Band, area entertainers, and a raffle.

Opry tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program at (281) 893-3726, ext. 32. Alcohol is not permitted at county-sponsored functions, but light refreshments will be available for purchase.

May Community Center's free intergenerational programs are part of Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Jerry Eversole's educational and recreational commitment to Harris County residents. May Community Center is a Precinct 4 community center located at 2100 Wolf Road, Huffman 77336. Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program (SAP) announces two new ongoing programs for adults (ages 50 and better,) at the B. F. Clark Community Building at Southwell Park, 27419 Nelson Road, Spring 77373.

Join the body toning and chair exercise classes on Monday and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. beginning July 6. This exercise class increases strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. Participants should wear lightweight clothing, and plan to bring a towel and a water bottle. If you have concerns or have a serious medical condition, please check with your physician before attending the class.

Kingwood, TX: Whether torrential thunderstorms or sweltering heat, the Fourth of July is always a day to celebrate in Kingwood. 

This year, residents will have a difficult time choosing between three Saturday evening festivities: the fireworks at the Town Center Park Festival, Alspaughs Street Dance, and the 2nd Annual Independence Day Concert at Kings Harbor.
