A volunteer instructor at May Community Center shows children, ages 12 and older, the art of turning an ordinary piece of wood into a work of art Mondays in July (beginning July 7) at 10 a.m.

Learn basic sewing skills and make creative projects Mondays or Wednesdays in July at 9:30 a.m., beginning July 7 or July 9. Anne Sparkman teaches this hands-on class to the first nine children ages eight and older who are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Sewing machines and sergers are provided by the Center.
