Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program invites the community to enjoy live musical entertainment during the 14th annual Opry in Humble Friday, Aug. 14 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center, 8233 Will Clayton Parkway.

Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program and Fun4Seniors are offering discounted tickets and transportation to seniors 50 years of age and better to Astros games throughout June and July.

Ahead of National Cancer Survivors Day, Memorial Hermann, in collaboration with the American Cancer Society Gulf Coast Region and the Westin Houston Memorial City, will host its annual “A Survivor’s Celebration of Life” event honoring cancer survivors and their caregivers on Friday, May 29 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Westin Houston Memorial City.

Keller Williams Concert in the Park continues in May with Hat Tricks, benefiting the Kingwood Rotary Club. Hattrick covers classic and contemporary Rock, Blues, Funk and Variety, as well as classic and contemporary country all from the past 5+ decades.

Humble ISD’s Elementary Art Department’s vision started the Fine Arts Festival thirteen years ago. With the fast growth of the event, the school district entered into a partnership with LSC-Kingwood eleven years ago.

Mental health is an issue that directly or indirectly affects people from all walks of life. To draw attention to this important issue, Lone Star College-Kingwood hosted a mental health series month in April which is open to the community, faculty, staff, and students.

One of the most looked forward to events during the year is the school carnival.  Beyond being a time for fun with friends, it is a vital part in the school's PTA fundraising activities.
