(Send One Suit) Drive. The effort, formerly known as Clean Out Your Closet Week, provides interview suits, confidence boosts and career development to more than 45,000 women in over 75 cities each year.

Commissioner Jerry Eversole is pleased to announce that the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department has confirmed the trout stocking dates at Bane Park and Burroughs Park.  The lakes at Bane and Burroughs parks will each be stocked with 2,000 rainbow trout on Friday, January 16, 2009.

Mayor Bill White has announced that the City of Houston has embarked on a project expected to significantly improve the energy efficiency of 271 City buildings. Mayor White and the Houston City Council have signed a contract with Siemens and T.A.C. committing these 271 City facilities, totaling approximately 11 million square feet, to the Clinton Climate Initiative’s (CCI) Energy Efficiency Building Retrofit Program.

Kingwood Texas:  Although the dust has settled in the national and state elections, Humble and Kingwood area residents aren't quite done voting. The Humble Independent School District is holding a special election to allow for a $.13 increase in the Maintenance and Operations tax rate to bring the total school tax rate to $1.52 per thousand dollars of valuation.

Kingwood , TX:  The hotly contested election season is drawing to a close.  Tuesday, November 4th, is Election Day. If you haven't already taken advantage of the early voting period,November 4th is the final chance to make your voice heard.
