If you have lived in Kingwood for any time at all, you have probably heard about the Kingwood "K" stickers.  Recently there have been letters to the editor in the Kingwood Observer, unending posts on Kingwood message boards, and displays on the KSA signs throughout Kingwood.

Birders of all experience levels are welcome to join other birding enthusiasts Saturday, February 4, at 8:30 a.m. for Breakfast with the Birds, a guided bird walk through many of the park’s beautiful walking trails.

Paddle Spring and Cypress Creeks: On Saturday, January 28, at 9:30 a.m., canoe Cypress and Spring Creeksfrom Mercer Arboretum to Jones Park. Paddle leisurely along the tree-lined, white sandy beaches of these scenic riparian waterways.

Jones Park in celebrating Arbor Day Saturday and Sunday, January 21 and 22.

Saturday programs include a Mighty Tree Tour at 9 a.m., a Pulp to Paper demonstrationat 10 a.m. (Reservations required (281) 446-8588),and a Native Trees presentation at 2 p.m. A park naturalist leads the Mighty Tree Tour that includes the natural history of the trees in the park.
