![]() Pasadena Strawberry Festival However living in the fourth largest city in the U.S., our own area events are just a fraction of the opportunities available. With so many options, how do you choose? A new publication, The Active Houstonian, makes planning your weekend a little easier.
![]() World's Largest Strawberry Shortcake The Active Houstonian is a free monthly newsletter published by local business, Humble Print and Fold, listing community events, sporting events, classes, seminars, and organization events. The newsletter is available at various businesses and Krogers and Randalls in the NE Houston area as well as as by email. Our family usually attends most of the Kingwood area events, but since the Active Houstonian has made its debut, we've been venturing a little farther afield. For example, we went to the Pasadena Strawberry Festival and partook of the world's largest strawberry shortcake. We also took a day trip to Brenham (home of Bluebell Ice Cream) for their Ice Cream Festival (how can you beat that?).
