Harris County Precinct 4s Senior Adult Program Announces Free Ongoing Art and Exercise Classes

seniors.pngHarris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program (SAP) announces two new ongoing programs for adults (ages 50 and better,) at the B. F. Clark Community Building at Southwell Park, 27419 Nelson Road, Spring 77373.

Join the body toning and chair exercise classes on Monday and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. beginning July 6. This exercise class increases strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. Participants should wear lightweight clothing, and plan to bring a towel and a water bottle. If you have concerns or have a serious medical condition, please check with your physician before attending the class.  


Enjoy the acrylic painting classes on Tuesdays, July 7 through September 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. During this three-month series, participants of all experience levels will learn a variety of acrylic painting techniques and styles with fundamental instruction. The following supplies are needed to participate: sketch pad, sketch pencil, straight edge, paint brushes (1 small, 1 medium, 1 large), 1 canvas (any size), acrylic paint (primary colors, black, white, plus any other colors desired), and container for brushes and water.

Classes are limited to the first 20 individuals to register. Please call Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program at (281) 893-3726 for more information or to register. Childcare is not provided at the exercise and painting classes.

Harris County Precinct 4 programs serve people of all ages, regardless of socioeconomic level, race, sex, religion, national origin or physical ability; however, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
