 Kingwood High School Marching Band.

Music, Music and More Music!

That is what KingwoodRadio.com and Pearl Snap Records are putting together for the Kingwood Music Festival to be held on Saturday May 20th at the front of Northpark Plaza (where Luby's is) from Noon till 8pm.

This FREE community event will not only be about a great day of music but a great day of food and fun for the whole family.  Most important is it will bring the community together to help support the Kingwood Mighty Mustang Military Marching Band (KM4B) as proceeds from the event will help the band get to the Tournament of Roses Parade in 2007.

If you have not heard KM4B is buzzing with excitement these days as students discuss their invitation to perform in the 2007 Tournament of Roses Parade. KM4B will be the only high school band representing Texas and the entire Gulf Coast. It is one of just 16 award-winning, high school bands selected from around the world to participate in the parade in Pasadena, California. The invitation also marks the first time that a band from our school district will travel to California for this internationally televised event.

The Performers
More are coming on board for the day long event but confirmed are the Mike Mancy Band.  Mike is a Kingwood graduate that has one of the hottest bands around.  His latest album Uneven Ground has two songs that are being spun on over 150 radio stations in 30 different states across the US.  Gary Kyle will be performing with his No Standards Band.  Gary is also a Kingwood graduate that has been touring Texas and just signed with Pearl Snap Records and released his first CD - Livin'.  Curtis Braly is homegrown from the Kingwood Area and has just released his first production CD - Second Chance.  Also performing this day will be rising talent from the recent Kingwood Battle of the Bands and Manny Trevin, a Dave Mathews watch out.

Fun, Trucks and Motorcycles
There will be lots of fun game booths, a dunk tank, and jumps for the kids.  Spaces will also be made available for those who would like to show off their hard work and well spent money on big trucks and hot motorcycles.  More information will be made available on this shortly.

Sponsorships, Vendor Booths and Raffle Items
What makes an event like this happen?  Sponsorships, vendor booths and raffle items.  This looks to be a well attended event and with drive by traffic right on Highway 59 N, more will be stopping in to see what all the excitement is about on the big day.  To learn more about these opportunities and how you can be involved, click here.
