Local Businesses to Sponsor Community Easter Egg Hunt and Charity Event

Kingwood, Texas, March 11, 2004 — If you are looking for a local free Easter egg hunt to take your children to, mark April 10^th down on your calendars. Local businesses are sponsoring the first annual “Picnic on the Park” at Town Square Park on Saturday, April 10^th, from 10 am to 2 pm.

The event is the brainchild of Dawn Bajalieh, a Realtor with Remax Associates Northeast in Kingwood. “I love planning events for children and I’ve always wanted to put on an Easter egg hunt for the whole community,” explained Bajalieh. This wish came to fruition this year when Bajalieh partnered with husband Eddie Bajalieh of All Star Pools and Houston Title to sponsor the event.
It will be an event for the whole family with games, entertainment and a vendor fair. “We’ve had an overwhelming response from local businesses with donations for the events and prizes for the raffle,” Bajalieh exclaimed. Raffle tickets will be on sale the day of the event. All proceeds will be donated to The Mission.
The Mission is a non-profit agency assisting families and individuals primarily located in the Northeast corner of Harris County and the Southeast corner of Montgomery County. The Mission assists families with food, clothing, household items, adult GED classes, ESL classes, life skills classes, Mission!Possible (a children’s summer skills enhancement program for students K-5^th grade), Feed My Lambs (a summer lunch program for area children and less fortunate families), holiday assistance, and spiritual and emotional guidance. The Mission is located five miles north of Kingwood at 22098 Loop 494 in New Caney.
