Many exciting events are planned for April and May 2009 at R. B. Tullis Branch Library, 21569 Hwy 59, New Caney, Texas. In addition to our regular weekly and monthly events, several special events are planned for adults, children, young adults, and their families.

Library Tours

A free library tour will be available on the third Thursday of every month at R.B. Tullis Branch Library from 2:30-3:30 pm. Meet your tour guides in the library community room on the first floor. No registration is required. Call 281.577.8968 for more information.

Adult Services Events

All adults are invited to our new book discussion group “Wednesday at 10:00 Monthly Book Club” that meets the second Wednesday of every month at 10:00 am. Computer Classes

The Computer Department at R.B. Tullis Branch Library offers free computer classes in Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Computer Basics, Excel Formulas and Functions, Using the Online Library, Picasa (edit and print photos) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and one Saturday every month. An Open Lab is also available for questions and practice time. Please call 281.577.8968 x124, for more information.

Youth Services Events

All elementary aged kids are invited to join us for Mad Science Monday with Mad Science Houston Monday, the first Monday of every month at 5:00 pm in the library community room. Kids will perform fun and amazing hands-on science experiments! Students must sign up for this program as space is limited to 25 participants. Kids may register at the Information Desk in the Children’s Department.

Children ages 18 months through 3 years old and their parents are invited to join us in the Children’s Activity Room at the R.B. Tullis Branch Library on Tuesdays at 10:00 am for Toddler Storytime. This 30-minute program includes books, crafts, songs, and more! Registration is not required.

Children ages 3 years old through 5 years old and their parents are invited to join us in the Children’s Activity Room at R.B. Tullis Branch Library on Wednesdays at 10:00 am for Preschool Storytime. This 30-minute program includes books, crafts, songs, and more! Registration is not required.

All elementary aged kids are invited to Krafty Kids on the second Wednesday of every month, at 3:00-5:00 pm in the Children’s Activity Room. Kids will create their own craft project using prepared materials.

The R.B.
