Tips of the Season - Share Your Blessings

Throughout our country, we are ever so blessed in our homes! Closets are filled to the brim with items that we own, more than we even know we have! The holiday season is the perfect time to take the time to share our blessings with those around us. Enlist your children in sharing their toys with those in need as well.

In choosing a donation spot, learn about the cause as much as possible. Find a cause you are passionate about and you will be motivated to part with your belongings and donate to those in need. Support for charities can take many forms. Not only donations of items, but also donations of time are valuable to these groups. You can find a way to “give back” by answering phones at a location, sorting donations, or any number of small tasks that benefit the charity.

Your clutter is a treasure to many in need. Be sure to donate what is truly of good use and value. Be sure to throw out what is not! Often donations are broken, stained, and then the charity must do the pitching! Here is a list of different donation locations and needs.
