Keller Williams Raises $31,000 for ALS Victim Stacie Rhea

While the rain poured down outside, emotions were flowing inside the Walden on Lake Houston Country Club on the evening of March 6 as Keller Williams Realty agents and the community came together to raise money for Stacie Rhea, a victim of the terminal disease ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Rhea, the daughter-in-law of Keller Williams Realty Northeast co-owner Judy Hopkins, was the guest of honor at the benefit hosted by Keller Williams which raised more than $31,000. The funds will go towards completing a renovation to Rhea’s home in Iowa, so that the 38-year-old mother of three can stay close to her family as her illness progresses.

Keller Williams Realty Northeast Donates $30,000 to Charity

KINGWOOD, TX - Keller Williams Realty Northeast in Kingwood announced that it raised $30,000 from hosting the KWCares American Bandstand Relived gala last October. A check for $27,000 was presented to the Village Learning & Achievement Center for children and adults with disabilities. The remainder of the funds raised was donated to KWCares charities, which supports Keller Williams Realty associates and their families faced with extreme hardship as a result of a sudden emergency.

Keller Williams Realtors Earn Negotiation Certification

Kingwood TX:  Keller Williams Realty Northeast in Kingwood recently hosted a two-day seminar on negotiations skills conducted by nationally-recognized executive management development instructor Tom Hayman. Approximately 80 Keller Williams Realty agents earned the designation of Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE).

“In our continuing effort to stay ahead of the learning curve, licensed full-service Realtors participate in significant required on-going education each year,” said Chris Sears, Keller Williams Realty Northeast team leader.

Midwives Open Reunion Womens Health & Birth Center in Kingwood

Kingwood, TX - Two Kingwood residents have given birth to a new business. Certified Nurse-Midwives Polly Logan and Janet Little have opened Reunion Women’s Health & Birth Center behind Kingwood Medical Center.

The birth center allows healthy women with low-risk pregnancies the opportunity to personalize their birth experience in a home-like setting with fewer medical interventions and more family participation.

The 3,300 square-foot complex features two private birthing rooms along with a common kitchen and family waiting room. Each birthing room has a custom-manufactured, thermal air-jetted tub for water births, a full-sized bed, rocking chair and birthing ball, giving expectant moms a choice as to where to labor and deliver.
