Kingwood, TX: Have some fun and throw your cares to charity by
celebrating the extra day in 2008 – Leap Day
-- at Nico’s Place with a fun evening of laughter and karaoke to benefit the
Village Learning & Achievement Center.
The local restaurant and nite club, located in the heart of Black Cat
Ridge on Loop 494, will donate 10% of its
proceeds Friday, February 29th from 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. to the local
charity.

Band performs live from 9 p.m. -1 a.m. Featuring a native Texan and a retired
NFL Offensive Lineman, the Drywater
Band will feature three performers with extensive resumes: Brian Sacco on
guitar and vocals, Bruce Wiggins on guitar, vocals, Bass and Lap Steel and
James Reese on guitar, vocals & Bass.

Huffman TX: The May Community Center in Huffman, Texas announced its schedule of classes for November 2007. Harris county residents can choose from a wide selection of class in arts and crafts, learning and enrichment, martial arts and exercise, and music and dance.
The May Community Center is one of Harris County Precint 4's three intergenerational community centers. Programs and classes are provided at little or no cost to Harris County
residents; however, participants must furnish their own supplies. In
most cases, participants can purchase supplies at the volunteer
instructor's cost.

Kingwood TX : Pets will now have a festival to call
their own with the first annual Kingwood Barktoberfest to be held
Saturday, October 6th, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Kingwood Town Center
Park. Pooches and their parents can enjoy a fun-filled day of
activities which will include a costume contest, pet photography,
flyball and agility demonstrations and more!
In addition to the festivities, the event, sponsored by VCA Kingwood
Animal Hospital, Pampered Paws Boutique of Kingwood and Urban Paws magazine of Houston, will spotlight and promote the various
rescue groups and shelters in the North Houston area. “The rescues and
shelters work year-round to help homeless and neglected animals,”
explained Jamie Bakke, event organizer and owner of Pampered Paws
Boutique. “We want to recognize and support those efforts.”

Ready to Rock: Organizers and sponsors of the KWCares American Bandstand Relived gala get in the spirit of the '50s to prepare for the Oct. 6 gala to benefit the Village Learning & Achievement Center in Kingwood. The event is being hosted by Keller Williams Realty Northeast.
KINGWOOD, TX - Get ready to rock and roll! Keller Williams Realty Northeast will host the KWCares American Bandstand Relived gala on Sat., Oct. 6 from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Marriott Hotel at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
The event benefiting Village Learning & Achievement Center in Kingwood and KWCares charities will relive the '50s and '60s with music by the Richard Brown Orchestra. Tickets are $100 each, limited to the first 400 participants. The evening includes a gourmet dinner, dance contests, and silent and live auctions. Costumes are optional.
