Kingwood to Celebrate Seventh Annual Picnic on the Park April 3rd

The young at heart are invited to take part in the Seventh Annual Picnic on the Park, Saturday, April 3, from 10 am to 4 pm at Town Center Park in Kingwood. A free Easter egg hunt will be held from 10 am to noon. 

Join the Easter festivities on Saturday, April 3rd, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in Town Center Park, Kingwood, for the Seventh Annual Picnic on the Park.

Families and friends come together and enjoy a day at the park with a full day of fun featuring a street fair, food booths, petting zoo, games, and entertainment. Admission is free. Game booth tickets will be available for $1 each or $15 for a wristband for all day play.

Tweens and teens are not forgotten with an action packed “Teen Zone” with a rock wall, adunk tank with local youth leaders a sitting ducks, basketball and baseball challenge where aspirants can test their skills. “Jello Wars” will make a return this year where teams battle for domination in a game of tug-of-war.

Texas A&M Singing Cadets are Coming to Kingwood!

singing-cadets-group-picture.pngThe Kingwood/Humble Area Aggie Moms club is pleased to announce that the world-famous Texas A&M Singing Cadets will be in the Kingwood community to present a special concert this spring.

The Singing Cadets is an all-male student organization from Texas A&M University and was first established in 1893. The choral group’s concerts consist of traditional school songs as well as religious, patriotic, Broadway, popular and novelty numbers.

Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program Hosts a Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Dance

kingwood mardi grasHarris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program (SAP) is hosting a Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Dance Tuesday, February 16 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center, 8233 Will Clayton Parkway. The afternoon dance for adults, ages 50 and better, features entertainment by the River Road Boys. Light refreshments will be served, but alcohol is not permitted at county-sponsored functions.

Tickets and reservations are required for admission; tickets are $7 per person and can be ordered by calling Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program at (281) 893-3726, extension 47. SAP events are part of Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Jerry Eversole’s educational and recreational commitment to Harris County residents.
