Picnic on the Park

Plans are now underway for the Third Annual Picnic on the Park to be held Saturday, April 15th, from 10 am to 5 pm in Town Center Park, Kingwood.

“It is truly a collaborative effort,” explained event committee member Carla Alvarez of Legacy Marketing Services.  “All of the contributions, donations, and participation by area businesses make the event successful.”

In addition to the free Easter egg hunt in the morning from 10 am to noon, other activities include game booths sponsored by businesses.  “Business owners enjoy the opportunity to have the personal contact and give back to the community,” Alvarez explains.  “There are businesses that come back every year to do the same game booth.  The Pirates on the Park fishing booth sponsored by Pirates Cove Car Wash and All Star Pools’ booth with the live ducklings have been favorites since the first year.”  Game booth tickets will be on sale the day of the event, as well as wristbands for all day play.
