The Kingwood Connection forum is a place for members to ask questions, discuss the community, and communicate with others in a friendly environment.

In order to keep the forum a welcoming place, the following guidelines have been set.

Breaking rules result in punishments. There are several types of punishments:

• Warning – If you do not abide by the rules of the forum, the first step for most violations will be a posted public warning to the offender.  If I do not give a warning, I will skip ahead to the next step in the penalty list.
• Blocking - This is where you are not able to post on the board. You may still view it.
• Temporary Ban - This is where you are not able to view the board for a certain period of time.
• Permanent Ban - You can never again view the board.

1. No Hacking - This should go without saying, but you are not permitted to hack the board. Guessing someone else's password and succeeding counts as hacking. Members who hack will instantly be permanently banned without any warnings.
2. No Shell Accounts – Everyone is welcome to post on the Kingwood Connection forum; however, game playing with alternate identities and accounts is not allowed.
3. No Discrimination, - You may not insult members based on their religion, race, sex, political beliefs, or sexual orientation.
4. No Bullying or Harassing - Do not pick on other members.
5. No Flaming - The victim may defend themselves against any accusations made to them, but may not make any additional accusations to the flamer (which also counts as flaming).
6. No Profanity or Obscene Content – The Kingwood Connection is a family friendly site and off color content is not allowed.  Masking obscene words with symbols or other characters is also considered a violation.

• Warning - Depending on how serious a violation is, you may be issued a warning first
• Blocked  - Blocking for 10 days
• Temporary ban - People who cause more problems after being blocked for 10 days will be banned for a month, and for 2 months for the next offense.
• Permanent ban - At this point, it is obvious that will never learn your lesson, thus, a permanent ban is necessary to be rid of the problems you cause.

1. Advertising – You may mention what you do as part of an introductory post; however, the forum is not for advertising your business.  Please use the Kingwood Connection classified ads, free business directory listings and paid advertising opportunities for that purpose.  You may reference your business in your forum signature.
2. No Illegal Activity
3. No Copyright Infringement - You may reference information that you find on the internet.  However, please do not copy and paste more than a short clip and link back to the original author for reference.  Also, do not hotlink to images that you do not own the copyright to unless they are in the public domain.
4. No Double Posting or Spamming - You may not post more than once in a row in the same thread. Spamming is also not allowed, and is defined as a post that has no meaning.
