I’ve been so busy the past few months with client projects and organizing Picnic on the Park that my poor blog has been severely neglected.
Lucky for me, my daughter decided to help me out.
A few weeks ago, my oldest daughter was sitting at my computer and said, “Mom, I’m writing... |

Okay, so I'm a little late on this post, but I had the week from H-E double hockey sticks a couple weeks ago. And I must record it for posterity.
It all started on Friday, January 30th. Little baby A was really fussy all day. I finally thought that she might be hot. She was in a... |

I've been a terrible blogger. I'm not on the computer any less which would be a good excuse for not blogging. I just have been bad. :( Blame it on Facebook.
Here is Little A. She's 2 months old now. So cute!

Have you gone to your mailbox lately to open the "Happy New Year" letter from Sudden Link Communications? Well, surprise surprise because you will see
"Our records show that you currently subscribe to a package that was offered to you as a special promotion, and has now ended. These services are scheduled to increase....."
Did you know that no matter how many years you have been with Sudden Link your "promotion...has now ended". A friend just called Sudden Link and was told this is really a rate increase.
Just note - Sudden Link doesn't call it a rate increase because Congress is currently looking into the excessively high rate increases the cable companies are passing on to consumers.
By law Sudden Link can raise rates as much as they want for the tiered services (for FCC rules see: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/cablerates.html). However the rate hikes and costs have gotten out of hand. Of course the timing couldn't be worse for most people. The confusion over the switch to all digital television has many people scared they won't be able to receive digital signals over their existing televisions. Guess what - you're probably right - not because your television is old but because the signal coverage by Houston stations is sub-standard. So Sudden Link is taking advantage of consumers. You want your tv to continue to work - pay up for a new "special promotion".

Web design styles go through phases.
In the mid 90’s we had the Stick-Every-Blinking-Graphic-You-Can-Find Stage.
Then as Y2K approached, the heavy chrome look became popular and then grunge.
Then of course, came the Web 2.0 phase. Of course, Web 2.0 is about more than just a particular... |
