Does anybody know what the story (schedule etc) for the 59 entrances to Kingwood Dr. and North Park? I know that Kingwood Dr. is going to be shut down sometime this week (I think its Saturday).
Also, does everyone know about the Hamblen Road back entrance and exit to Kingwood? Going north on 59, just after you cross the San Jacinto bridge, take the Hamblen Road exit. You'll need to get all the way over in the right hand lane and then follow the "fork" to the right. Its the first street that you can turn to the right after the bridge. (see first map below)
Once on Hamblen there are two MAIN ways to get into Kingwood proper (two ways to hit Kingwood Dr.). You can either turn left off of Hamblen just before you hit Kingwood Cove Golf Club onto Burning Tree Rd. You'll then take the first right (approximately 1/2 mile) onto Hogan's Aly (which cuts through the Kingwood Cove Fairways. You'll then take a left on Chestnut Ridge, a right onto St. Andrews (which is the second right), and then an immediate left back onto Chestnut Ridge (which will take you to Kingwood Dr., by the Shell and Mobil Gas Station near the front entrance to Kingwood. The other way to get into Kingwood from 59 (which will place you a little deeper into Kingwood at Woodland Hills Drive) is to follow Hamblen Rd past the Kingwood Cove Golf Club (see Map #4) At the stop sign just past Kingwood Cove Country club you'll want to take a left onto Forest Cove Dr. You then travel down to Walnut Ln and take a right. This will take you directly into the Southern Part of Kingwood (I'm not sure of the name of the subdivision (it might be Trailwood Village..not sure), but you'll know you are there when you cross the main drainage ditch that runs the length of Kingwood north to south). You'll then take a left onto Trailwood Village Dr. Trailwood Village will dead end into Lake Village Dr. Take a right onto Lake Village Dr. Continue down until you hit Woodland Hills Dr (at the stop sign). Take a left and then proceed until you hit Kingwood Dr. or North Park Dr (See maps #4 and 5)
