Hello Everyone,

I am thinking about putting up a new door to replace our old one. I am not sure what the restrictions are about replacing front entry doors. Do any of you know if we have to get permission first before installing a new front entry door?

It's always the safest to check the CC&R's for your village. If your homeowner's association has a web site, they will be listed there.

My guess would be that if it is the same color you will be okay without approval.

You can replace siding board here and there without getting approval, but if you reside the whole house, you have to get the okay from the HOA first.

The issue is more what it looks like than what it is made out of.
