Kingwood Texas TX Connection

My husbands job just transferred us here and we moved in to Sherwood Trails last sunday. We're leasing a house and really like it and the landlord. A relator from the area REALLY freaked me out though. When we were looking for houses everyone said the safest place to be would be kingwood, but she then went on to tell me the story of a recent break-in where a woman woke up to a man standing over her and yada yada. Coming from Ohio this really just freaked me out. SO, how safe is Kingwood and Sherwood trails. Our landlord has agreed to put in a security system for us but its not in yet. I'm still pretty freaked out at night.

Welcome to Kingwood, I think you'll like it.

In general, Kingwood is a very safe place to live. However, you do have to be careful just like anywhere else.

There is a Positive Interaction Program meeting the third Tuesday of each month with representatives from HPD and the Kingwood associations. It goes over the crime statistics for the month and any problems that need to be addressed.

Each village does have a safety committee member and some publish the reports.
