Join us for Hoppy Easter festivities on Saturday, March 26th, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in Town Center Park, Kingwood, for the Second Annual Picnic on the Park. There will be something for everyone with game booths, entertainment, refreshments and vendor fair. A free Easter egg hunt will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Performances will be held throughout the day by local groups including: Miss Stacey’s Dance Studio, Golden Bells Choir, The Dancing Divas and All That Jazz. Fun activities for the children include: pony rides, petting zoo, inflatables and a variety of game booths sponsored by area businesses. Game booth and raffle tickets will be on sale the day of the event and are also available for pre-purchase at the event web site, www.picniconthepark.com.

Every boy remembers his first love…and for most it wasn’t a girl, but a car. Sunday, April 24th, step back in time with us to revisit that first love at the 9th Annual Kingwood Spring Car Show.
Join thousands of residents and visitors to marvel at hundreds of hot rods, street rods, muscle cars, classics, monster trucks, bikes, and custom rides as they converge on Town Center Park in Kingwood, Texas. Now in its ninth year, this event runs from noon to 6 PM, and will feature live entertainment and lots of activities for the kids. Stroll through and around beautiful Town Center Park while enjoying great food, sweets and treats. If you can’t make this event, mark your calendar as The Kingwood Car Show is held twice yearly – Spring and Fall.
“Our community Car Show is an event that will please the whole family,” said Ty Eckley of the Town Center Merchant Association. “We work hard to ensure that there are many children’s activities and entertainment that compliment the enormous number of absolutely stunning vehicles at the show.”

 Kingwood professional organizer Ellen Delap and her company Professional - Organizer.com will be participating in this year’s Dress For Success Houston’s S.O.S. (Send One Suit) Drive. The effort, formerly known as Clean Out Your Closet Week, provides interview suits, confidence boosts and career development to more than 45,000 women in over 75 cities each year. Dress for Success is a not-for-profit organization that helps low-income women make tailored transitions into the workforce. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and a second suit when she gets the job.
If you would like to contribute, please bring your interview appropriate suit in excellent condition, cleaned, pressed and on a hanger to Kingwood Country Club on February 22, 2004 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Don’t have a suit to donate? Dress For Success Houston suggests donating $55 toward the cost of a suit for clients over size 14. Receipts for donations will be sent directly by Dress For Success Houston. Kingwood Celebrates First Annual Mardi Gras Festival – Expecting Thousands of Attendees Kingwood, Texas, Parades, king cakes, beads, masks, stars, floats and thousands of residents will line the streets of Town Center Park during Kingwood’s First Annual Mardi Gras Festival, scheduled for Saturday, February 5, 2005 from 2 pm to 10 pm. Would-be revelers should plan to join the throngs screaming the immortal catch-phrase "Throw me something, mister!"

Mothers of Young Children, a Kingwood-based parenting organization, is sponsoring a free educational seminar, “Mothers Making it Work” on Saturday, October 16, 2004, from 10 am to 11 am. The seminar will be held at The Lodge Apartments, a co-sponsor, at 938 Kingwood Drive, Kingwood.
The seminar will feature a panel of women in a variety of work situations, including full-time, part-time, work-from-home, direct sales, and business start-ups. Attendees will learn from moms “in the trenches” how they juggle work and family responsibilities. Participants will also receive information on organizational strategies, time saving tips, job search resources, networking strategies, a list of business opportunities and an exclusive report, “10 Things a Working Mom Needs to Know.”
