Well, Ike has moved out of our area. Our house has survived. Thanks to a few friends, we were able to get reports on our house. We have some gutters down, a large limb down in the back and some debris around the house. By some small miracle, we have power! If you look at the map below, all the red areas are customers without power in Houston. They have restored about 19% of their customers' power. There are still 81% of their customers without power. We are still at my Dad's house though. Local authorities have asked that those that evacuated to stay put until they can restore more power and clear more streets. The kids' school has been cancelled thru Wednesday, so we're not in a huge rush to get back.
