Designed for today’s 11- through 15-year-olds, babysitter’s training give participants
the knowledge, skills, and confi dence to care for infants through school-aged children.
This six-hour course is organized in segments of 60 to 90 minutes, and all of the segments must be completed to receive certification.
Featuring an activity-based format, babysitter’s training addresses:
• Injury and illness prevention
• Basic child and infant care
• Decision making
• Age-appropriate behavior
• Resumé writing and interview skills
Participants learn through hands-on techniques and are required to demonstrate several
fi rst aid skills, including rescue breathing and dealing with choking. The $49 per person
course fee includes certifi cation and all course materials. Payment must be made in advance to guarantee your reservation. Class begins promptly at 10 a.m.; students arriving late will not be admitted. Each participant is asked to bring a practice doll. Slacks or jeans are recommended for all participants.
Cancellations: Reservations cancelled within two (2) business days of the class date
will be refunded. Cancellations received less than two (2) business days prior to the class
date will result in forfeiture of the course fee.
