East End Park is one of Kingwood's natural treats. It is good ol' bottom land habitat with woods, wetlands and an open meadow that hold a great variety of flora and fauna.
On the Second Saturday of each month, Lake Houston Area Nature Club (LHANC) members lead a nature walk through EEP. LHANC members are primarily birders but have an appreciation, knowledge and curiosity about all native plants and critters.
The group forms at the EEP entrance at 7:30 AM. Bring binocilars if you have them. Come prepared for the weather and shoes you won't mind getting a bit muddy. |
