For the third time in three years, Performing Arts Education Centre is producing a brand new children’s play. This latest production is ROYGBIVIA, a comedic melodrama complete with an evil villain dressed all in black. Taking its name from the pneumonic device for the colors of the rainbow (ROY. G. BIV), ROYGBIVIA uses color as conflict and comedy. ROYGBIVIA will be presented on Saturday, May 13 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Creekwood Middle School.
Written by Debra Schultz, the director of PAEC, ROYGBIVIA features a cast of 41 actors, ranging from 2nd-10th grade. Passionate about working with young actors, Schultz created the play specifically for her students to provide each with appropriately challenging and developing characters.
ROYGBIVIA will be presented twice on Saturday, May 13, 2006. Performances will be held at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Creekwood Middle School in Kingwood. All tickets are $5 and seating is general. For tickets or information, call Performing Arts Education Centre at 281-354-3035.
