Kingwood, Texas: Texas-sized festivities with a Kingwood flair are planned for the Fourth of July.
The fun starts on Saturday, June 30th, with the annual Alspaugh's street dance and BBQ. The 4th of July activities start at 6 am in the morning with the Kingwood Civic Club fishing rodeo and ends in Kingwood Town Center with the fireworks display.
If you like dinosaurs, you don’t want to miss the 2006 Houston Gem and Mineral Society’s Gem, Jewelry, Mineral, and Fossil Show, to be held September 22-24 at the Humble Civic Center. This year’s show features “A Prehistoric Journey,” a new exhibit from Dinosaur World in San Antonio showcasing the skeletons, skulls, teeth, bones, spikes and claws of prehistoric creatures that roamed the earth millions of years ago.

The 2006 Garden at the Park Family Festival will be held on Saturday, October 7th from 10 a.m till 6 p.m. The Peoples Park is situated at 1389 Forest Way on the Kingwood Drive feeder beside Sears Hardware. This years festival will include live music, games and moonwalks for the kids, vendors, arts and crafts, live entertainment shows and much more.
