Lights draping from limb to limb on Evergreen Glade put residents over the top for the Best Block Spirit in 2008.
One of the annual Kingwood Christmas favorites is the Christmas light decorating contest sponsored by the Kingwood Civic Club. Judging for this years contest is on and will start on December 1st with winners announced December 9th.
Take a break from the holiday rush. Load the family in the car, pick up some hot chocolate and tour the villages to enjoy your neighbors' creativity and Christmas spirit.
Those who would like to participate in the contest should leave their lights on each night through December 9th. Awards will be given in the following categories for each village:Best Traditional
- Best Religious
- Best Lights
- Santa's Favorite
- Best Doorway
- Best Block Spirit (common theme in block)
