TexasOnTheGo.Com was recognized by the Small Business Development Program (SBDP) of the City of Austin for its continued support promoting their initiatives to assist small business, on Friday, October 30, 2009, at their annual appreciation luncheon.
“The City of Austin SBDP had another banner year, which saw many advances and achievements that built on the success of past years,” says Rosalinda Jalifi, assistant Director of Economic Growth and Redevelopment Services during the recognition luncheon.
In his address, Chris Riley, Austin city council member said that “Small, local businesses are the real drivers of Austin’s economy; in fact, over 90 percent of Austin’s businesses have less than fifty employees. While times are tough right now, I know that through the continued efforts of all those focused on our small businesses we will pull through this downturn stronger than ever”.
