WonderKids Camp is your newest kid's summer program in the Kingwood, Humble Atascocita area. Wonder kids include all students entering the first, second and third grade who desire to learn and have fun. The WonderKids program is designed to offer children an exciting summertime curriculum. The term "WonderKids" represents the belief that all children are wonderful and thus should have an opportunity to attend.
This new and innovative hands-on summer camp was the brainchild of 3 energetic and creative area teachers, Jessica Callahan, Megan Gray and Jennifer Guidroz. All three of these outstanding mothers and teachers have over 14 years of combined teaching experience and over 20 years combined experience in summer camp instruction and curriculum. They are not only the Camp Directors but also the instructors for the entire program. It is their goal to make this an enjoyable experience that allows all campers to be creative and have fun while learning.
WonderKids Camp will be held at Atascocita High School,located at 13300 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble, TX 77346. Jennifer Guidrozstated that, " They just felt this type of summer camp option for grade schoolchildren was something they didn't see offered in the area and they felt theycould fill that need." "We have two exciting and creative classrooms alongwith the gym for our physical activities and weekly presentations!' statedJennifer.
The program offers three (3) one-week camps. Eachweek you have the opportunity to choose the AM or PM class, whichever bestfits yours and your child's schedule. Select the morning session from 9:00a.m. to12:00p.m. or the afternoon session from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. The camp will runfor three consecutive weeks July 11-15, July 18-22 and July 25-29. Theregistration and camp fee is $155 for a one week camp. This includes a t-shirt,healthy daily snack and unforgettable summer fun and learning foryour WONDERFUL child!
THE INAGURRAL CAMP, SUMMER 2011 theme is...BUGPLAY! Let your childbe a bug watcher! Your kids will become our young entomologists and explore theworld of insects as they learn about, observe, feel, create and even "taste"creatures from the largest phylum in the animal kingdom. We'll discoverthese crawly creatures together in a fun, educational and creative environment.This is just the beginning for the growing number of "Bugsperts!"
