Dr. Michael Wynn: Bringing Light to the Sole

"Think of a microscope.  It takes diffused light and focuses it.  That is what a laser is, focused light," explained Dr. Michael Wynn in the beginning of our conversation about light, lasers, and podiatry.  Dr Wynn is the primary podiatrist and owner of Foot Care Associates of Texas, located in Kingwood along the 59 service road.  While foot and ankle surgery may seem more pedestrian and not an area of cutting edge medical technology, Dr. Wynn is not your average podiatrist.

Kingwood’s First Chick-fil-A Restaurant Opening Oct. 25

Forty-five years after the first Chick-fil-A® restaurant opened in an Atlanta mall, pioneering mall food courts and introducing its signature boneless-breast-of-chicken sandwich, the chain will celebrate the opening of its first stand-alone restaurant in Kingwood on Oct. 25 by giving away a free year's supply of Chick-fil-A to the first 100 adults in line grand opening morning.  

SarahCare® Kingwood Celebrates National Adult Daycare Week

On Saturday, September 15th, from 10 am to noon, SarahCare® Kingwood will celebrate National Adult Daycare Week with an open house showcasing the facilities.  The highlight of the open house is the opportunity to participate in the Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT), which is a method that creates a sensory simulation of what a person with dementia experiences.  

First Choice Emergency Room brings interactive “Whambulance” to Kingwood

As an innovator in health care, First Choice Emergency Room is bringing a branded Monster Truck, The First Choice ER Whambulance, to provide an interactive experience for the community to learn more about its facility as an alternative option for emergency care.  Visitors can take a photo by the 14 foot tall Monster Truck, sign up to win a remote control mini-Whambulance and take turns racing trucks around a mini-track.

The Regular monthly "Super Saturday" training seminar for Houston and Kingwood area USANA was enhanced greatly by the inclusion of these well-known presenters and motivation speakers this past weekend. Both are Directors in USANA Health Sciences and shared a wealth of knowledge with the Houston team.  

This month's "Super Saturday" training seminar for Houston included two nationally known presenters and motivation speakers, Jordan Kemper and Brian Bohlke.  Both are Directors in USANA Health Sciences and shared a wealth of knowledge with the Houston team.  The event attracted attendees from around the state and some from as far away as Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Florida.  The event, a sellout, was held at The Greenspoint Athletic Club.
