4th of July Events in Humble and Kingwood

4th of July Fun in Humble and Kingwood - 2012

 After a long wet spring, the Northeast Houston community is ready to celebrate the nation's birth with 4th of July activities throughout the area.  Have some BBQ, take in a parade and watch the fireworks display at Town Center .

 

Take your pick of the fun to be had.  Whichever you choose, be sure to pack sunscreen, water, and stay hydrated in the hot Texas sun.

Bring lawn chairs and enjoy a performance by Vince King, an Elvis tribute artist, followed by a fireworks display.

  • 9:00 am - Atascocita 4th of July Parade (Beginning at the Atascocita Library and ending at the Overlook)
  • 10:00 am - Kingwood Civic Club 4th of July Parade  (Feather Lakes/West Lake Houston Pkwy/Kingwood Dr) sponsored by the Kingwood Civic Club
  • 10:00 am - Forest Cove 4th of July Parade
  • 2:00 pm to 9 pm - 4th of July Festival at Town Center Park
  • 4:30 pm - Flag Retirement Ceremony at the Town Center Flag Pole
  • 6:00 pm - Alspaugh's Street Dance
  • 6:00 pm - God Bless America Concert at Second Baptist Church
  • 6:00 pm - 4th of July Celebration at The Overlook
  • 7:00 pm - Crosby Church Independence Day Celebration
  • 7:30 pm - First Baptist Church - Huffman Car Show

4th of July Fishing Rodeo

Foster's Mill Pond
Corner of Kingwood Dr and Forest Garden, Kingwood

6:00 am to 7:30 am

Get up bright and early and come to the annual Fishing Rodeo sponsored by the Kingwood Civic Club.  For children 15 and under.  Bring fishing gear and poles, no registration is required.

 

Atascocita 4th of July Parade

Atascocita Library
19520 Pinehurst Trail Dr, Atascocita

9:00 am

The parade begins at the Atascocita Library and ends at The Overlook where refreshments will be available and prizes will be awarded for decorated bikes, wagons, golf carts and pets. Parade line-up begins at 8:30 am.

 

Kingwood 4th of July Parade

10:00 am

Parade Route:  W Lake Houston Pkwy from Creekwood Middle School, Kingwood Drive to the Kingwood High School
Line up begins at 8:00 am at Creekwood Middle School.  Registration is required.  Registration forms are available at the Civic Club web site.

 

Forest Cove 4th of July Parade

1025 Marina Dr
Kingwood, TX 77339

The parade starts at 10 am followed by a community BBQ and festival.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

 

 

4th of July Festival

 Booths at Kingwood Town Center  will be open from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  There will be something for the whole family with food, moonwalks, and craft and vendor booths.

DJ Mark Linabury will entertain the crowd from 2 pm to 6 pm, and enjoy the music by That 70's Thing and Thunder from 6 pm to 9 pm.  The firework display  will follow.  

 

Flag Retirement Ceremony

Town Center Park
8 N Main Street, Kingwood

There will be a United States and a Texas flag retirement ceremony performed by the Boy Scout Troop 839 from the First Presbyterian Church-Kingwood, at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. It will be conducted at the flagpole at Town Center, 8 North Main Street, with all appropriate ceremony and respect.

 

Alspaugh 4th of July Street Dance

2720 West Lake Houston Pkwy, Kingwood
6:00 pm.

Bring the family, a cooler and some chairs and enjoy the music.  BBQ donations will be accepted.  The event is free to the public. 

 

God Bless America Concert

Second Baptist Church

Kingwood, TX 77339

Join the Celebration choir and orchestra for a special patriotic music service.  Congressman Ted Poe will be a special guest. 

Sunday, July 5th:  9:30 am and 11:00 am

 

4th of July Celebration at the Overlook

The Overlook Event Center
20114 Pinehurst Dr, Atascocita

6:00 pm to 10:00 pm

This event is open to all area neighborhoods and will be from 6-10 p.m. Attendees can bring picnic blankets, chairs, non-alcoholic beverages and coolers. The Mambo Jazz Kings are set to perform. There will be hot dogs, snow cones, soft drinks and water, and a fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.

 

Crosby Church Independence Day Celebration

5725 Highway 90, Crosby

7:00 pm

The community is invited to bring their lawn chairs and join Crosby Church, for a night of family fun. The celebration will start at 7 p.m. There will be a concert, concessions, inflatables, entertainment and fireworks. For more information, visit crosbychurch.com.

 

First Baptist Church Car Show

7:30 pm

The community is invited to come to the First Baptist Church Car show on July 4 starting at 7:30 pm. followed by fireworks and food. The event is open the public and there is no charge.

 

Fireworks at Kingwood Town Center

Town Center Park, Kingwood

9:00 pm

Join your friends and neighbors in celebrating Independence Day with the annual Fireworks display at Town Center Park.
