One of the perks of living in Kingwood are the great events right in our back yard and Kingwoodians go all out on the 4th of July.
Forego the crowds, high gas prices, and the crazy drivers and celebrate Independence Day with your neighbors. From dawn til dusk, fun activities are planned.

Kingwood Civic Club 4th of July Parade

Parade Route: W Lake Houston Pkwy from Creekwood Middle School, Kingwood Drive to the Kingwood High School
Line up begins at 8:00 am at Creekwood Middle School.
Forest Cove 4th of July Parade
10:00 am
Line up begins at 9:00 am at the Forest Cove Community Center, 1025 Marina Drive, Kingwood. A BBQ will follow the parade at the Community Center. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
HEB 4th of July Festival and Fireworks Display at Town Center Park
Booths at Kingwood Town Center will be open from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be something for the whole family with food, moonwalks, and craft and vendor booths. Admission is free, but bring your wallet as there there will plenty of wares to browse and food to sample.
The band Thunder will play from 2:30 to 6:00 pm, Level One from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and the fireworks will commence at dusk.
Independence Day Concert at Kings Harbor
New this year, an open air concert of patriotic music will be performed by the Lonestar College-Kingwood Symphonic Band and the Kingwood Big Band at Kings Harbor. Admission is free. Bring lawn chairs and enjoy the performance.
July 5th:
Alspaughs Street Dance: Continue the celebration of our nation's freedom at the 14th annual Alspaughs BBQ and Street dance. Bring the lawn chairs and coolers at 6 pm. The band will begin at 7 pm and will wrap up at 11 pm. The event is free to the public. Donations will be accepted for Blue Star Moms.

Do you have to live in Kingwood to come to the events?
No. The community events are open to all. If you haven't been to an event in Kingwood, bring the family, folding chairs and hang out for the day.
Where do I park?
If you are coming to the Kingwood 4th of July parade, West Lake Houston Parkway from Feather Lakes to Kingwood Drive and Kingwood Drive to Kingwood High School will be closed from 10 am to approximately noon. Either park in an area north of Feather Lakes or on a side street that has access through to another main road.
For the HEB 4th of July Festival at Town Center Park (the Southwest corner of Kingwood Drive and West Lake Houston Pkwy), you can park in the shopping strips surrounding the park or on the street south of it. Do not park in the Burger King parking lot, they will tow.
