While it may not be "looking a lot like Christmas," Kingwood residents make up for the lack of snow with plenty of Christmas cheer. From full blown Christmas festivals, concerts, and nativity displays, there will be plenty of ways for everyone to get into the Christmas spirit. Santa is scheduled to make appearances all around town, so get your Christmas lists ready.

Randalls Christmas in the Park
Saturday, December 6th: 10 am to 6 pm
A perennial Kingwood favorite with entertainment on the open air stage and booths from local merchants and crafters at Kingwood's Town Center Park ending with a Christmas tree lighting. Admission is free. www.towncenterevents.com
Holiday at the Harbor
Saturday, December 6th, 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm
A fun packed day has been planned to celebrate the season starting with a Holiday Hound Hike benefiting AABY at King's Harbor. The pet and owner garnering the most pledges will win a prize. Awards will also be giving for the best dressed hikers. Registration begins at 2:30 pm with the hike from 3 to 4 pm.
End the day with a free concert from Kingwood's Big Band presented by the Kingwood Musical Arts Society. Bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the concert from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.
An Old Fashioned Christmas
Saturday, December 6th, 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
Experience the Christmas traditions of earlier times as the Redbud Hill Homestead comes alive with customs of the 19th century holiday season at Jesse Jones Park.
All ages. Reservations required and open to Harris County residents beginning Mon., Nov. 10. Non-Harris County residents, beginning Mon., Nov. 17.

Photos with Santa at Deerbrook Mall
Tell Santa your secret wish and get a picture to boot at Deerbrook Mall in front of Sears. Through December 24th. Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 9 pm; Sunday, 11 am to 7 pm.
Santa at On the Park
Visit Santa at On the Park Toy Store in Kingwood the first three weekends in December from 12 pm to 4 pm.
Santa's Farm
Friday, December 5th, 6:00 to 9:00 pm
Celebrate the season with your farm friends at Santa's farm sponsored by the KHS and KPHS FFA at the Kingwood Ag barn at Deer Ridge Park. Listen to carolers, take a picture with Santa, view the live nativity and take a hayride. Admission is free. Food will be available for purchase. A shuttle will be available at Kingwood United Methodist Church.
Christmas in the Forest Home Tour
Get ideas for your holiday decor at the Christmas in the Forest Home Tour presented by the Kingwood Garden Club. Four Kingwood homes will be on display in their festive best. A boutique with holiday decor will be available at the end of the tour. Tickets are $12 through December 4th or $15 the day of the event. Christmas Yard Decorating Contest
December 6th through 11th
Engage in neighborly competition in the annual Christmas Yard Decorating Contest sponsored by the Kingwood Civic Club. Have your lights up by Saturday, December 6th, and on December 8th through 11th between 6:00 and 10:00 pm. Winners will be notified by the 11th. Awards will be given by village for individual houses and for groups.
Kingwood Library Holiday Open House
December 8th, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Come have fun at the last Library Holiday Open House at the Rustic Woods location. After 25 years, the Kingwood Library will be moving to new digs in 2009. The Kingwood High School Madrigals will entertain and it is rumored that Santa might make an appearance.
Christmas Cheer with Second Saturday Settlers
December 13th, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Join Jesse Jones Park staff and volunteers for yuletide fun. Enjoy a cup of wassail, sampleold-fashioned treats, and have your picture taken with jolly old Saint Nicholas. All ages.
