Within the past few days a core group of Kingwood/ Humble area community leaders have stepped up and brainstormed a unique fundraising community event. The Inaugural “Cookies and Tea under the Tree” will be a cookie exchange festival for families of all ages. This event will be an added activity at the Tree Lighting at Town Center on December 5th.
The purpose of this event is to embrace the local families and business community and to offer a new and different event while raising funds for an annual revolving list of charitable organizations during the holiday season. This is the first annual event and the charity it will be benefiting is Family Time.
The Committee has committed to “seed” the cookie exchange with at least 100 dozen cookies. Sponsors are needed for the hot cider, hot chocolate, and tea as well as the cookie boxes for the Cookie Exchange. “Finale’ for Your Grand Event” is sponsoring the cookie decorating booth and their Pastry Chef, Glenna Artripe, will be giving decorating demonstrations throughout the day. Many volunteers will be needed the day of, to execute this event. To assist us with this please email Denise Krieger at
