Humble ISD’s Elementary Art Department’s vision started the Fine Arts Festival thirteen years ago. With the fast growth of the event, the school district entered into a partnership with LSC-Kingwood eleven years ago.
Since then, the festival has grown into a multi-faceted event that highlights HISD and LSC-K students’ fine arts talents. The attendance averages between 6,000 and 7,000 people a year. The festival is free and open to the community.
One of the main features is the exhibition of artwork by elementary, middle, high school and college students. Community members will be able to view the Humble ISD Visual Art District Competition in the college’s Performing Arts Center (PAC Building). In addition to enjoying the visual arts in the PAC building, the young and young at heart will have a chance to participate in many of the Creation Stations. Located inside and outside the Student Conference Center (SCC), these hands-on art experiences are a highlight of the festival each year.
The festival will also feature a variety of musical performances by groups from each Humble ISD elementary campuss, as well as Middle, High School and local musicians. The musical performances will take place in the Music Instruction Building, the SCC and the PAC Building.
The Fine Arts Festival is a self funded event. The money raised at the silent auction and from sponsorships/donations provide funds for next year’s festival. The auction will feature sports memorabilia, original art, gift baskets, services and gift items donated by local businesses and organizations. If you or your business would like to donate an item to the silent auction, please contact Lynn Bennett at
