Paddle Spring and Cypress Creeks: On Saturday, January 28, at 9:30 a.m., canoe Cypress and Spring Creeksfrom Mercer Arboretum to Jones Park. Paddle leisurely along the tree-lined, white sandy beaches of these scenic riparian waterways.

 

On Sunday, January 29, at 2 p.m., Canoe Spring Creek on a shorter tripfrom Jones Park to the San Jacinto River. Ages 16 and older. Reservations required, (281) 446-8588, beginning Wed., Jan. 18.


Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center, a Harris County Precinct 4 facility under the leadership of Commissioner Jerry Eversole, is located at 20634 Kenswick Drive in Humble. All programs are free of charge and open to the public.

Harris County Precinct 4 programs serve people of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, sex, religion, national origin or physical ability.
