Join in a celebration of life at the Just Jake Festival on July 10th, 2015, from 6 to 10 pm at Kings Harbor in Kingwood. Festival goers will enjoy music, food, inflatables and more.
The festival is in memory of Jake Silva, a 15 year-old Kingwood high school freshman who passed away on January 29th from a sudden onset of bacterial meningitis. Join the Silva family in celebrating the day of his birth and the memory of his life. The proceeds from the event planned by his family and brothers, Zach, Ben, and Nate, will fund the Jake Silva Memorial Fine Arts Scholarship administered by the Humble ISD Education Foundation.
There will be something for everyone. Activities include large inflatables, a dunk tank and a mechanical shark. Inflatable tickets will be $10 per person. A raffle and silent also will also be held.
Entertainment will be provided by local musicians in the plaza area. Concessions will be available at the event including a special sweets booth named "Jake's Candy Shack." In addition, the restaurants of Kings Harbor will donate a portion of their sales Friday night to the Jake Silva Memorial Fine Arts Scholarship Fund.
KSBJ Radio will host a prayer tent during the event. Life Gift will host a booth providing information on organ donation as well as offer the opportunity for people to register to become an organ donor. NextCare will sponsor a first aid station.
