Every boy remembers his first love…and for most it wasn’t a girl, but a car. Sunday, April 24th, step back in time with us to revisit that first love at the 9th Annual Kingwood Spring Car Show.
Join thousands of residents and visitors to marvel at hundreds of hot rods, street rods, muscle cars, classics, monster trucks, bikes, and custom rides as they converge on Town Center Park in Kingwood, Texas. Now in its ninth year, this event runs from noon to 6 PM, and will feature live entertainment and lots of activities for the kids. Stroll through and around beautiful Town Center Park while enjoying great food, sweets and treats. If you can’t make this event, mark your calendar as The Kingwood Car Show is held twice yearly – Spring and Fall.
“Our community Car Show is an event that will please the whole family,” said Ty Eckley of the Town Center Merchant Association. “We work hard to ensure that there are many children’s activities and entertainment that compliment the enormous number of absolutely stunning vehicles at the show.”
“What is amazing about this show is that almost all of these vehicles come from Kingwood area garages. We have an untapped wealth of auto enthusiasts in this area, and this show gives auto-related businesses an unparalleled opportunity to market directly to their target consumer,” said Suzanne Juel of Kingwood Event Coordinators. Kingwood Event Coordinators has been contracted to run this year’s car show.
“We are actively seeking sponsors and vendors for this great event,” said Anna Campbell of Kingwood Event Coordinators. “Sponsorship and vendor information is available at the event website at http://www.kwtowncenterevents.com. We are only accepting vendors who have an auto related product. Regular vendor booths are only $50, while food booths are $100. Sponsorships start at $150.”
One of the highlights of the show is the collectable T-Shirt, as each year’s Car Show T-Shirt features original art by a local artist. The show also features over 30 Best-In-Class Car awards, including numerous people’s choice awards.
“One of the most popular things about this show is that the attendees get to choose almost half the award winners. Each attendee can submit a ballot to vote for their favorite vehicle, and the People’s Choice awards are always the most sought-after awards of the show,” said Eckley.
Applications are now being accepted for vehicles to display in the show and are available on the event website at http://www.kwtowncenterevents.com. Early registration is $25 per vehicle for non-commercial displays.
The 9th Annual Kingwood Spring Car Show is scheduled for Sunday, April 24th, 2005. Hours for the event are Noon – 6 PM. Parking and admission are free. The award ceremony will begin at 5PM.
