Kingwood Town Center Postpones 8th Annual Fall Car Show to due to Hurricane Rita.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Rita, Kingwood Town Center is rescheduling the 8th Annual Doctor Larry’s Automotive Specialists Kingwood Fall Car Show to Sunday, November 6th. This event is always a community favorite, and as evidenced by the great attendance at the spring show has something for everyone. Last spring’s car show featured over 200 vehicles.

The title sponsor for this year’s event is Doctor Larry’s Automotive Specialists. The car show is also sponsored by A-Line Auto Parts and AC/Delco, Deerbrook Forest Chrysler Jeep, Tejas Toyota Scion, Hooters, the Kingwood Chamber of Commerce, Game Force, EBGames, My Little Juel, RE/Max Associates Northeast, XL Parts, Northside BMW and Kingwoodnow.com.

Join us for a wonderful community event by either displaying your vehicle or just coming out and enjoying the day with us. Attendees will see everything from classic Ford trucks from the 50’s to custom motorcycles. And you can feel great participating because proceeds from the event will be donated to the Salvation Army Hurricane Relief Fund. This year’s event will also feature a canned food drive to support the Houston Food Bank.

“With the recent hurricanes that have devastated our neighboring communities, we felt this was a great opportunity to contribute to the rebuilding efforts and provide relief to those who were so terribly impacted by these disasters, while at the same time promoting our community and just having a great time,” said Title Sponsor Larry Krueger of Doctor Larry’s Automotive Specialists.

This year’s event will again be hosted by Sparky Nolan, President of the Kingwood Chamber of Commerce.

Now in its eight year, this event runs from noon to 6 PM, and will feature live entertainment by Soul to Soul and lots of activities for the kids. Stroll through and around beautiful Town Center Park while enjoying great food, sweets and treats.

Beyond the incredible cars, fabulous food, and fascinating vendors, that will be attending the 2005 Doctor Larry’s Automotive Specialists Kingwood Fall Car Show, a highlight of the show will be the opportunity for a virtual drive of many of the cars that will be featured at the show. This is being provided by GameForce, Inc., a Town Center merchant and event sponsor.

Gran Turismo 4 is a brand new PS/2 game from Sony and was recently featured on “The Apprentice.” For the Car Show, GameForce will provide a full cockpit with steering wheel and pedal, and attendees can stop by their booth to either take their turn at the wheel or just enjoy watching as a spectator.

According to the review on www.ign.com, “Gran Turismo 4 uses an all-new physics engine coupled with revolutionary technology to deliver enhanced game physics and graphics providing a near-realistic automotive racing simulation.” (For the techno-illiterate, this means it’s really fun)

If you can’t make this event, mark your calendar as The Kingwood Car Show is held twice yearly – Spring and Fall.

Applications are now being accepted for vehicles to display in the show and are available on the event website at http://www.kwtowncenterevents.com. Early registration is $35 per vehicle for non-commercial displays.

The 8th Annual Kingwood Spring Car Show is scheduled for Sunday, November 6th, 2005, with a rain date of November 13th. Hours for the event are Noon – 6 PM. Parking and admission are free. The award ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM.
