Whether torrential thunderstorms or sweltering heat, the Fourth of July is always a day to celebrate in Kingwood Texas

There will be plenty of fun for kids kicking off at 6:00 am with a Fishing Rodeo, continuing with a Bike Decorating Contest and 4th of July parade, and festival fun at Town Center Park .

If you have been pining for the opportunity to demonstrate the perfect parade wave, you too can be a part of the annual July 4th tradition. Parade entry forms can be picked up at the Lake Houston YMCA.  A $30 registration fee is required for commercial entries.  Nonprofit group entries are free.  Applications can be downloaded here:

fourth of july town center kingwood

It wouldn't be the 4th of July in Kingwood  without a festival and fireworks display in Town Center, and the 2011 celebration will go off with a bang thanks to Woodforest National Bank, the title sponsor.  The festival will be held from 2 pm to 9 pm at Town Center Park  located on Town Center Circle in Kingwood.

Event-goers can browse through the wares of vendors ranging from handcrafts to kids items or taste the delights from one of the many food booths.  Children can work off their excess energy in the inflatables, while young and old alike can soar to new heights on the bungee trampoline, a return hit from 2010.
