The Kingwood Community Symphonic Band was founded in the fall of 2005 at Kingwood College by KC band director James Stubbs.  Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7:00-9:50 in the Performing Arts Theater in the Student Center/Fine Arts Building on the Kingwood College Campus and performances are held twice each semester in Kingwood and surrounding communities.

The KCSB performs a wide variety of music, including Broadway and show tunes, transcriptions of orchestral works, and original compositions for band.  Members of the band are drawn from a broad spectrum of our community, and include businessmen and women, college students, doctors, nurses, lawyers, music educators, and many, many others.

The Kingwood Community Symphonic Band is offered by Kingwood College for academic credit through the music department or as a continuing education course for those who have completed their degrees.

Rehearsals for the spring 2007 semester begin on Monday, January 22nd.  Call for more information today!
