The Kingwood Fillies learned that some things can be better the second time around at the Crowd Pleasers Dance Competition at Pearland High School on Feb. 21st. The Kingwood High School dance team received a nearly perfect score of 299.5 points (out of 300) on their Kick Routine when they performed the high energy, face-paced routine for the second time in a row.
When their music went out near the end of their first kick performance, the Fillies took a short break and danced it again. Their reward for this exhausting effort was receiving the top scoring dance of the competition and first place in the Kick Dance Category. The Fillies also won their two other team performances: lyrical and jazz.
In addition, two Fillies placed as solo finalists at the competition: Sarah Campisi, Junior Division; Sydney Ballou, Senior Division. Ashley Parnell and Hannah Lam were named solo semi-finalists in the Senior Division. For more information, visit: www.kingwoodfillies.net
