Commissioner R. Jack Cagle joined seniors for lunch and live, musical entertainment during the Baskets and Bunnies Luncheon Tuesday, April 14 at Jersey Village Baptist Church, 16518 Jersey Drive.
The Dignity Gospel Quartet kicked off the event with their distinct Southern sound that had audiences clapping along. Following the performance, seniors enjoyed pork loin, scalloped potatoes, green beans, rolls, carrot cake and iced tea from Ben’s Chuck Wagon.

Commissioner Cagle also thanked Jersey Village Baptist Church for helping expand Precinct 4 programming to more residents.
“Precinct 4 is one of the fastest growing areas in one of the fastest growing counties in the state,” he said. “With the help of organizations such as Lone Star College-University Park, Jersey Village Baptist Church and Tomball Community Center, Precinct 4 can expand services in the community without relying on traditional brick and mortar community centers.”

The next luncheon celebrates Mother’s Day on Thursday, May 7 at 11:30 a.m. at Lone Star College-University Park, located at 20515 State Hwy 249, Houston, TX 77070. The Tribute to Mother’s Luncheon includes a catered meal and live, musical entertainment from the Salvation Army Harbor Light Choir.
