Precinct 4 Closes Spring Creek Greenway Trail as Flood Waters Rise

The Harris County Precinct 4 Parks Department has temporarily closed all access points of the Spring Creek Greenway Trail from Dennis Johnston Park to Jones Park in response to rising flood waters.

Flash flooding and mudslides are still issues while the ground is saturated and rain continues. With creek levels still rising, flood waters from Spring Creek have already covered some segments of trail and are threatening others. The trail will reopen after flood waters recede and repair and cleanup efforts are complete.

The Spring Creek Greenway extends 12 contiguous miles, connecting five Precinct 4 parks including Dennis Johnston, Pundt, Stahl, Carter, and Jones Park. For more information, visit http://www.hcp4.net/community/parks/scgw.
