Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program invites all senior adults 50 years of age and better to learn about the rich heritage of civil aviation during a trip to the 1940 Air Terminal Museum Thursday, Aug. 27 at 9 a.m.
The museum showcases airlines, general aviation and business aviation housed in the original art-deco Houston Municipal Airport building at present-day William P. Hobby Airport. Exhibits include Houston’s fascinating aviation history.
The next stop is Pearland’s Bass Pro Shops/Outdoor World, featuring apparel along with camping, hunting and boating equipment. With more than 150,000 square feet, this store boasts an indoor arcade, shooting range, archery range, along with a 30,000 gallon aquarium, and many special events and workshops daily. Enjoy lunch inside Bass Pro Shops at the Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant. Their assorted menu includes a variety of selections from fried alligator to hamburgers and sandwiches. Lunch is not included in the ticket cost; participants are responsible for their own meal.
Precinct 4 buses depart at 9 a.m. from Tomball Community Center, 221 Market Street, Tomball. A $5 prepaid, non-refundable fee must be received within one week of making your reservation.
