When a street sign goes missing or a roadway needs repairs, residents may not always know who to call for help. With county, city, and state officials all providing different services, navigating the many agencies can be challenging.
Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner R. Jack Cagle is committed to helping residents find the services they need through the Precinct 4 Community Assistance Department (CAD), which researches and responds to thousands of calls, letters, and e-mails every year.
CAD processes all requests for Precinct 4’s nearly 2,600 miles of roadways, and maintains current records and information on the many operations and intergovernmental agencies within Harris County. After receiving a request, CAD generates a work order for repairs to potholes, sinkholes, roadways, and more or refers residents to the correct organization.
In addition, Commissioner Cagle recently created a new Outreach Division whose members attend community meetings and events to answer questions in person. Now residents can enjoy knowledgeable speakers who share details about all Precinct 4 has to offer, from its community centers, libraries, parks, and Senior Adult Program to the Road & Bridge Department.
